Pitch adjustment issue

Hi Chris,

I couldn’t get get pitch adjustments to work. In the keyboard bindings menu the default for pitch-1 is Shift+Cmd+down. This did not work for me (nor did pitch+1).

  1. I created 2 new key pairings, CTRL+Space+1 and CTRL+Space+2 for pitch up and down. The only increment/decrement I saw was 10 cents. I didn’t see an option for 1 cent but this worked as expected.
  2. While looking at the commands, I realised I can change the constant value. This subsequently does not work when set for for 1 cent but it does work when set to 2 cents or more. I applied this to both default key combo’s and left my new combo’s at 10%

I hope that makes sense. I fixed my problem but changing in increments/decrements of 1 cent does not work for me.

Also, I don’t see any way to indicate how much the pitch has been adjusted, nor do I see a pitch reset option. The reset option at least will be very helpful.

Regards,

James

James,

That’s strange. I was just able to make this work with +1 and -1 cents on my Mac. Can you send some screenshots along to help me see what keystrokes/values you have set for these?

As for seeing the pitch adjustment, make sure you add the pitch control to the toolbar. To do this: right click on the toolbar and choose customize. Then, locate the pitch control and drag that up into the toolbar. Once it’s there, it’ll show you the current +/- pitch adjustment. Here it is in action:

(Ignore the skip from 2 to 4—that seems to be a side effect of converting my screen recording to an animated GIF.)
