I am unable to get the Song Volume to work with a CC $Value 0%-100%
Here’s a link to a video of me trying to set it: Song Volume Midi
Also, I noticed my keyboard bindings are not working.
If I look at the menu items the key bindings are dimmed.
Is it that I can only either use the keyboard bindings or Midi.
I am working with Midi, but the keys are not cooperating.
Enjoying the cool new midi feature!
Nice work!
For now, you’ll have to press the enter or tab key after you enter 100 into that text field so that the value is committed. I need to figure out how to fix this behaviour.
No, both MIDI and keyboard bindings should work together. In what way are the keyboard commands not cooperating for you?
It seems that the key bindings are not in the menu items either, but some are and work. Link to video: keybinding-missing-not-working
One consequence of this change that you’ve noticed is that I am unable to populate the menu items with user-defined keystrokes like I once did.[1] Therefore, no keystroke entries in this menu is not an indication that this isn’t working as it should.
Here are a few things to try and “wake up” the keyboard handling:
- Click somewhere else in the waveform to de-select the region for looping, and then try the keyboard commands again.
- Try to rename the region, de-select it, and try the keyboard commands again.
- Click away to move focus to another app, and then get back to Capo. See if the keyboard commands start working.
- Quit and re-launch Capo, and see if the commands work.
- Reboot, and try again.
Let me know which (if any) of the above restore the keyboard commands into working order.
This is one of those things that I chose to defer a fix for, just so I could get the update out the door and into users’ hands. It’s difficult to decide which keyboard binding belongs to which menu item using the new system. For instance, you can now create multiple bindings that trigger the same command (e.g., you could toggle playback by pressing either the spacebar or the ‘p’ key—which should appear in the menu for Play/Pause?), and bindings that trigger multiple commands (e.g., you could set the comma key to both set the speed to 50% and toggle playback—should that key appear in the menu for Play/Pause?). ↩︎
I tried everything in your list but the std Microsoft fix of a reboot.
Will try that when I get a chance.
Some keys work, some don’t.
Good to know. Please try and grab some debug logs as I’ve described in Keyboard controls not working, and keep me posted in there.
