Neither of these is possible today, but can you elaborate on what you’re looking for here?
You’re the first person to ask for notes/comments in the structure view, so I’m curious to know more about what you’re trying to do.
Also, the common request is for printing out a lead sheet (like the chords song view). So I’d like to know more about how you might use a PDF/printout of the structure view (or even the practice view!). Or maybe you were just asking about chords?
Hi and thank you for the rapid respons.
My question is related to using the structure view as a lead sheet for the form, which also could include chords. I’ve noticed that the overview of that zoomed-out view gives a way better perception for personal notes than would be the case in the chord view.
It could be groove, feel och even chord or note specific comments that is easier and more practical to observ in the structure view.
I am now taking a screen shot of the structure view, converted that to a pdf and made the comments in the pdf. This takes time, especially when you want to make changes in the middle of a rehearsal or gig even.
To have it all in Capo would really streamline the process and be very useful at the same time.
This would be nice!
At times, I have been taking screenshots of Capo’s structure layout and pasting
it together in preview or an image editor. Doing it manually via cut and paste, is tedious and does not produce a very consistent results, which makes it hard to follow from song to song.
Being able to add notes (add authors, links and other items) and lyrics would be nice.
Also the ability to have the option to print or not print out the lyrics and/or notes.
Being able to generate a pdf would be nice. I usually use Capo to learn the songs and then
add to my repertoire in stage Stage Traxx 3/4 so, I kind of end up doing the song documentation work twice once learning the song in Capo and then moving it to a performance tool adding lyrics with chord charts with lyrics.
I’m making pretty good progress on the PDF export functionality, but there are a lot of little details left before it gets to see the light of day.
It’s at the point where I’ve been telling myself “just one more week” for the past 2 months, which is a good sign for y’all. ![]()
(Spoiler: it’s going to need a lot more than a week, but it’s my main development focus at the moment…)
