I’m currently experiencing an issue with Capo on my Mac. I’m unable to use my keyboard to control the transport functions (play, pause, etc.). The keys don’t seem to respond as expected, and I haven’t been able to resolve the problem.
Could you please advise on how to fix this or let me know if there are any specific settings I need to adjust?
Can you check if there are keyboard bindings set, or if they have been cleared? You can do this by selecting Control > Edit Keyboard/MIDI Controls…
If they’re gone, you’ll have to completely delete Capo’s settings so it will reset all your keyboard controls again. You can do this by quitting Capo, and then deleting the folder at ~/Library/Containers/com.supermegaultragroovy.capo3.mac. In the Finder, you might have to navigate to ~/Library/Containers/Capo, because the “com.supermegaultragroovy.capo3.mac” will probably be hidden from you.
Let me know how it goes, and I hope this helps get you going again.
Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately it’s still not working. I did delete the file and tried saving one keyboard binding, but it still doesn’t work.
Just to clarify, you made sure to quit Capo first, then deleted its container, and re-launched Capo again?
When you re-launched Capo, were there no existing keyboard bindings? There should be an existing list of default bindings that include the space for play/pause, the arrow keys for movement, etc.
If you have successfully cleared the container and still see no keyboard shortcuts on launch, follow these instructions to capture some log messages for me. Specifically, I want you to quit Capo, fully delete the container directory, start logging messages, and then launch Capo to capture the startup sequence.
