Hi all, I’m trying to transpose the vocal line of a song. I was able to extract a pretty clean vocal track using Logic Pro, imported the WAV into Capo, but I still can’t figure out how to write down the vocal melody.

Any hints or tutorials on how to do that?

If you think of a vocal line like a guitar solo, then the process is largely the same as you’d follow in [this tabbing video](https://supermegaultragroovy.com/products/capo/videos/#tabbing-a-solo-start-to-finish). In a nutshell, you use the Tabbing song view on the Mac, and you draw out the notes you hear in the spectrogram to capture them.

The visual output in Capo is suited to guitar players, but you could try exporting the MIDI notes for those tab entries and use them in dedicated notation software if you need different output. I don’t have direct experience with this process, but I’m happy to help if you get stuck anywhere.
